Grantria®

Punica granatum · standardised to ellagic acid + punicic acid + punicalagin · ADOP technology

Grantria®: triple-active pomegranate extract standardised to ellagic acid, punicic acid and punicalagin; 60-day placebo-controlled skin study. From Biontera.

Grantria®

Grantria® is an ADOP-technology extract that standardises three active phytochemical groups from pomegranate (Punica granatum) seed, peel and fruit ; ellagic acid, punicic acid and punicalagin ; in a single proprietary composition, developed for beauty-from-within and women's-health formulations.

In a 60-day randomised, placebo-controlled study in healthy adults, 300 mg/day of Grantria® significantly reduced crow's-feet wrinkles, tactile roughness and forehead lines and improved skin radiance versus placebo. Skin-tone evenness, moisturisation, elasticity and firmness improved significantly from baseline; the tyrosinase biomarker dropped by 3%.[1]

Clinical and Technical Evidence

Pomegranate polyphenols — punicalagin and ellagitannins in particular — are converted by the gut microbiota into urolithins, metabolites at the centre of current research into cellular-renewal pathways. Grantria®'s three-component standardisation secures a broader phytochemical spectrum than single-marker pomegranate extracts.

The clinical study combined VISIA skin-analysis parameters (pores, spots, UV pigmentation) with instrumental elasticity and moisture measurements; the product was well tolerated with no safety findings. A cosmeceutical mechanism file separately documents the collagen-support and antioxidant-activity axes.[2]

Frequently Asked Questions
What sets Grantria® apart from single-marker pomegranate extracts? +

The standardisation of three active phytochemical groups ; ellagic acid, punicic acid, punicalagin ; in one composition. ADOP technology draws on pomegranate seed, peel and fruit fractions together.

Which parameters did the clinical study measure? +

The 60-day randomised placebo-controlled study assessed wrinkles (crow's feet, forehead), tactile roughness, radiance, tone evenness, moisture, elasticity, firmness and the tyrosinase biomarker.

Can it be used orally and topically? +

Yes; the clinical data covers oral use (300 mg/day), and the cosmeceutical mechanism file also supports topical application scenarios.

How do I request samples and the dossier? +

Submit a sample request via the contact page; the clinical manuscript and mechanism file are shared after an NDA.
