Gremin®

Gremin® is a dual-polyphenolic sports-nutrition ingredient combining green coffee bean extract and curcumin in a single proprietary composition. Its efficacy has been evaluated in two separate clinical publications ; muscle recovery, and endurance/muscle performance.

In the first study (prospective, double-blind, placebo-controlled, n=16), 10 days of Gremin® produced significant reductions in post-eccentric-exercise pain and tenderness together with lower plasma markers of inflammation (CRP) and muscle damage (creatine kinase, lactate dehydrogenase).[1] In the second study (n=60, 14 days, 500 mg/day), endurance measured by the six-minute walk test and VO₂max, isometric muscle strength and MFI fatigue scores improved significantly versus placebo; DEXA showed increased lean body mass.[2]

Eccentric exercise causes muscle damage in the unaccustomed, presenting as delayed soreness (DOMS), strength and range-of-motion loss, swelling and increased passive stiffness. Gremin®'s polyphenol pair targets this picture on two fronts: the chlorogenic-acid-rich green coffee fraction addresses oxidative load, while the curcumin fraction modulates the inflammatory response.

The combined profile of the two studies — reductions in recovery markers (CK, LDH, CRP) alongside gains in endurance metrics (VO₂max, 6MWT) — gives formulators flexibility across both the pre-workout and recovery categories.
